Join The 4th H Challenge!
The 4th H for Health Challenge is a fun, simple way to make your club meetings healthier, and your club members receive a 4-H pin and certificate upon completion!
It’s easy. At four meetings each, serve water, fruits and vegetables as snacks, and do some sort of physical activity for 15 minutes. Then incorporate any one of these healthy activities at four more meetings and you’re done! Record the dates on the 4th H for Health Challenge Tracker. Start your challenge today…click here.
Healthy Kids Out of School is an initiative of ChildObesity180 at Tufts University. Regional funding provided by the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation. UNH Cooperative Extension Youth and Family Programs cooperating.
The Health Rocks! Carnival App and Website
Check it out! The Health Rocks! Carnival app is now available! The app, developed by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and piloted by Nebraska youth, is available free through iTunes and as a desktop game. The interactive game allows youth to test their knowledge of drug and alcohol facts, and health through carnival-themed games. The overall health status of their player is determined by how many health points they obtain, which will either turn their player into a superhero or an unhealthy person.
The Health Rocks! Carnival app is the first app created for a national 4-H curriculum, which is an extension of the current Health Rocks! curriculum and program initiative.
