Young people, ages 5-18, participate in 4-H through an afterschool program. 4-H brings an expanded menu of afterschool opportunities through its program, projects, activities and curriculum. |

4-H Afterschool Clubs enable youth to belong to a larger county, state and national youth organization. As 4-H members, youth practice leadership and teamwork, share decision making with adults, and do community service learning projects. |
||
Afterschool program staff can receive professional training from UNH Cooperative Extension educators on both 4-H curriculum and positive youth development practices. Technical assistance is also available to assist in starting and maintaining a successful 4-H afterschool group. |
