Master Plan Visioning Assistance (Application for Assistance due dates: August 15 or January 15
UNH Cooperative Extension is offering assistance to communities in New Hampshire for getting the public involved in community decision-making.
Through the Master Plan Visioning Assistance program, UNH Cooperative Extension works with a limited number of communities to help them organize, facilitate community planning and public visioning forums. Applicants are selected based on the community’s readiness to start working on public involvement activities and willingness of local decision-makers to participate.
The fee structure is based on population and is as follows:
town/city population of 2499 or less: $500 fee
town/city population of 2500-9,999: $750 fee
town/city population of 10,000-24,999: $1000 fee
town/city population of 25,000 or more: $1250 fee
Fees will cover technical assistance from UNH Cooperative Extension to:
- help form the community-based steering committee who manages all of the details of the event;
- facilitate the event;
- train community facilitators to manage small group work at the event;
- provide follow-up for up to 1 year to the project/action groups formed as a result of the event, including follow-up meetings and a one-year celebration to determine success.
