Newmarket (1999)
 

The Newmarket NROC program started with the Dealing with Growth in Newmarket presentation in July, 1999. Develop.  Note: At the time of the Newmarket-NROC program, the NROC follow-up program was not in place. Instead, the community applied for NHEP grant funds to develop an Open Space Conservation Plan, described below.

 
  Action Groups:
 
  • Develop an Open Space Conservation Plan

  • Developed two presentations to educate residents about open space, and open space design developments.

  • Worked with MG Planning staff  to update the inventory of conservation lands.

  • Worked with MG Planning staff to develop and implement a survey of voters to get their input about open space protection

  • Contracted with MGPlanning, a Municipal Land Use consulting firm to develop the Plan.

 
  NROC Community Implementation Project Grant Funds
  Received an NROC grant funded by the NH Estuaries Project to develop the Newmarket Open Space Conservation Plan.
