Facilitation Skills and Participatory Decision-Making Tools
This 4 session course is taught by UNH Cooperative Extension professionals and is intended to be intentional and applied in nature, allowing participants to be able to go out and facilitate meetings in their communities and workplace. It will introduce the art and craft of facilitation through interactive lecture discussions, readings, video and practice. In addition to facilitation basics, this course will cover a range of facilitation topics, including:
- Facilitation skills
- Group and individual behaviors
- Conflict resolution
- Coalition building and facilitation tools
- Community forums
- Focus groups
- Strategic planning
- Action planning
- Asset Based Community Development (ABCD)
This workshop is useful for community leaders, grassroots organizers, agency/organization leaders and community development professionals. Fee is based upon attendance and includes a resource book.
