Agricultural Resources

fall veggiesAgriculture is thriving in Belknap County. Livestock, vegetable farms, orchards and garden centers are located throughout the landscape.

The Agricultural Resources program provides assistance to agricultural businesses on topics such as pest management, soil testing, pasture and hayfield maintenace and marketing. Gardening is a popular hobby in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Extension conducts a variety of workshops for gardeners on topics like pruning fruit trees and ornamental plants, lake-friendly landscaping and lawn care, and pest ID and control.
