Kathy Jablonski Wins Award at NAE4-HA Conference

Kathy Jablonski, 4-H Youth Development Extension Educator, with the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension Service, was honored with the Achievement for Service Award presented by the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents. Jablonski was among over 1200 youth professionals from across the nation to participate in the association’s 58 th annual conference October 31 – November 5 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Each year NAE4-HA recognizes members for Extension work by presenting awards for outstanding accomplishments in achievement, leadership, and communication. Jablonski received the Achievement for Service Award during the Annual Recognition Banquet, November 2, 2004.

This award is presented to an NAE4-HA member with at least three but not more than seven years of service to Extension Youth programming. The Achievement in Service Award is based on work with professional associations and Extension committees, professional improvement, professional accomplishments, personal interests, and community contributions. Jablonski was recognized for strengthening leader training in the traditional 4-H program and increasing membership in her county. She has been instrumental in organizing statewide leader training forums, and has served on the Governor’s Council on Volunteerism, and the Workforce Development Opportunities Council.

The Conference theme was “Stake Your Claim.” The conference allowed Extension youth professionals the opportunity to learn innovative, up-to-date educational information, methods and techniques, exchange ideas, and to promote cooperation among all Extension personnel.
