Sadie Puglisi, Agriculture Resources Educator
Sadie provides hands-on problem-solving help for farmers in pest identification, season extension, crop production, equipment needs, soil fertility and marketing. She helps farmers make decisions about pest management and soil fertility so they can farm in a way that is both sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Think of Sadie as a general consultant farmers can rely on for almost any concern. When she can’t provide an answer herself, she can almost always connect him or her with someone who can.
Biography |
Sadie Puglisi began her horticulture career as a full time gardener directly out of undergraduate school. She continued to garden part time while obtaining her master's degree in floriculture from Virginia Tech. Her thesis studied the effects of various plant growth regulators on perennial crops. After graduate school Sadie began her career as an Extension Educator on Long Island as Integrated Pest Management specialist. She worked with golf courses and other municipal properties to help them implement IPM programs and reduce pesticide us. She moved to NH in search of something to climb, and spends most of her time in the Whites when not at work . |
