Since 1968, Rockingham County 4-H has been major part of the Stratham Fair, and the Stratham Fair has been a major part of Rockingham County 4-H! The 2011 Stratham Fair is scheduled for Thursday, July 21 through Sunday, July 24 at Stratham Hill Park, Route 33, in Stratham. At Stratham Fair, the finished results of many 4-H member and volunteer leader efforts are on display. The 4-H Positive Youth Development program emphasizes practical life skills through a broad variety of projects and activities. Many of these projects are displayed in the 4-H Building, as well as in the livestock barns and show rings. Check this page for the latest on Stratham Fair 4-H events and information. 4-H Animal Exhibitors

Many 4-H members work on projects related to agriculture and animal husbandry. 4-H members from across New Hampshire show their animals and practice their skills not only as they pursue ribbons and fair premiums, but also as they work to educate other fairgoers about responsible agricultural practices.

4-H Building Exhibitors

Exhibits in the 4-H Building at the Stratham Fair include individual and club/program displays that could involve cooking, rocketry, shooting sports, gardening, sewing & textiles, GPS navigation, communications skills, wind power, hiking & environmental stewardship, service-learning, and much more. The 4-H exhibit building was built in 1977 and dedicated to Lynn Garland upon her retirement as 4-H Extension Educator in 2008.

Baking Competitions for Youth


4-H Youth entries are through 4-H. Non-4-H youth follow recipe and bring to 4-H building.
