The UNH Cooperative Extension Forestry and Wildlife Program helps citizens and landowners learn about and care for New Hampshire's forests, trees, willdife and habitats. How we can help:
Landowner Visits: Each county in New Hampshire has a County Extension Forester who can help you integrate your objectives for your property, including forestry, recreation, wildlife habitat, water resources, scenic beauty, and income. We can visit your property, free of charge, to discuss your land stewardship objectives. In addition, wildlife specialists are available to assist landowners in identifying habitat and planning for habitat management on their lands. Click here to contact a staff member near you.
Financial Assistance for Landowners: Landowners and communities interested in actively managing their property may qualify for a variety of financial assistance programs from state and federal sources. Learn more about Financial Assistance for Landowners.

Assistance to Professionals: Forestry & Wildlife specialist are available to assist resource professionals (foresters, loggers, wetland scientists, forest industry professionals, wildlife consultants, etc.). Click here for a list of staff members and their specialties.
Assistance to Communities: UNH Cooperative Extension staff can offer assistance to communities with managing public lands, land conservation projects, natural resource identifcation, offering public educational workshops and much more. In addition, Taking Action for Wildlife offers technical assistance to NH communities interested in using the Wildlife Action Plan to prioritize habitat conservation.
