Forest landowners hold the key to protecting New Hampshire's environment. Three quarters of the state is owned by 84,000 people in properties averaging 40 acres.

The Forestry Information Center can answer many of your natural resource related questions. When sending an email please provide contact information (phone number and post office address) and what kind of assistance or information you want. The center can also be reached for callers in any of the New England states at 1-800-444-8978. The postal address is Rm 211 Nesmith Hall, 131 Main Street, Durham, NH, 03824. The center also has a large selection of fact sheets available that can be ordered directly using the publication list.
