  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) physical activity efforts cover a wide spectrum of related topics.
  • American Heart Association site on Physical Activity
  • We Can!™ or "Ways to Enhance Children's Activity & Nutrition" is a national program designed for families and communities to help children maintain a healthy weight.
  • Weight Control Information Network has a variety of information and resources on physical activity.
  • AARP has many resources on Physical Activity Programs for those over 50, including an award winning program called "Get Fit on Route 66."
  • The National Center on Physical Activity and Disabilities overall mission is to help people with disabilities find accessible programs. The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability posts a directory of programs in New Hampshire available for people with disabilities and health conditions.
  • USDA’s MyPlate provides physical activity information and My Pyramid Tracker. My Pyramid Tracker physical activity assessment evaluates your physical activity status and provides related energy expenditure information and educational messages. After providing a day's worth of physical activity information, you will receive an overall “score” for your physical activities that looks at the types and duration of each physical activity you did and then compares this score to the physical activity recommendation for health. A score over several days or up to a year gives a better picture of your physical activity lifestyle over time.
