Public Comment Period Extended for Good Forestry in the Granite State Draft
The public comment period for New Hampshire's keystone forest management document, Good Forestry in the Granite State: Recommended Voluntary Forest Management Practices for New Hampshire, has been extended to December 1, 2009.
“Several stakeholders have requested an extension to the public review and comment period,” explained Karen Bennett, Project Manager and UNH Cooperative Extension Forestry Extension Specialist. “We have extended the period by one month to accommodate these requests.”
Landowners, natural resource professionals, municipal officials and others may access the Good Forestry in the Granite State draft on the web. Visit www.goodforestry.org and click the link to review and comment on the draft chapters. Comments on the draft may be submitted online using a comment box at the end of each chapter.
