- Work with Fashion Revue Coordinator to guarantee smooth flow of the show.
Decide groupings and write beginning scripts, transitions to next narrator and
ending script.
- Review narration scripts so you become familiar with reading them. Practice
reading each narration several times.
- Practice reading scripts on microphone. Learn how to adjust the microphone
for your best voice projection. Read slowly and distinctly. Pause to allow
modeling 4-H'er to exit before starting next script. Try to maintain good eye
contact with the audience. Remember to SMILE, too.
- Be sure to go over script with each participant to learn how to say their
name correctly and to adjust scripts if necessary.
- Be available to read scripts during practice sessions and offer any
suggestions to assist 4-H'ers with showcasing outfit. Keep track on a master
list who has come through the practice session. Inform coordinators of any
missing youth to see if they are busy with other events at State Activities
Day. All participants need to practice!
- Organize your group in order of modeling. Be sure all members are present
and that scripts match line up order. Avoid mistake of reading a script for
those who are not there. Recheck line up order and script order just before
going on stage. Recruit helpers to make the show flow smoothly.
- Thanks for volunteering. Write down any ideas to improve the 4-H Fashion
Revue program and send to the Cooperative Extension Fashion Revue Coordinator.
