Plant Conservation Volunteers (PCVs)

If you enjoy hands-on field work, the Plant Conservation Volunteer Corps (PCVs) program trains amateur field botanists to perform much-needed conservation work. Trained volunteers are central to monitoring and managing rare and endangered plant species in New England.Activities: Plant Conservation Volunteers are involved in a variety of plant conservation activities vital to the preservation of New England's native flora:

  • Rare Plant Monitoring 
  • Habitat Management 
  • Survey and Control of Invasive Species 
  • General Botanical Surveys 
For more information about our Plant Conservation Volunteers (PCV's), please contact John Burns at 508-877-7630 ext. 3204 or jburns@newenglandwild.org .  Volunteers must attend a training program in order to participate that will be held in the Concord, NH area. Applications are accepted all year long, but please apply by February 20 to participate in the current year's training program.
