Just some idle browsing tonight brought out some interesting news on cellulosic ethanol.

Video of GM Rep talking about their partnership’s vision for cellulosic ethanol worldwide. Notice also she refers to woody biomass in Georgia. The northeast’s forests have a much longer growing time than in the south; a problem that has bedeviled our paper making industry and may prove a hurdle for attracting a cellulosic ethanol plant.

Interview with Coskata’s CEO regarding the partnership. This is the first I’ve heard of deriving ethanol from construction debris.
