Fashion Revue, Fashion Selections and Evaluation in Merrimack County

Sewing machines start working overtime starting in January. 4-H members will make many decisions once they prepare for this project. For one, just what do they want to make. Then comes selecting the fabric, sizing, pinning, cutting and completing their garment. Many will learn new techniques along the way in preparation for the annual Fashion Show.

Thanks to many committed volunteers, judging takes place in stages with different stations to visit; zippers, hems, sleeves, and so on. This is evaluation day.

Fashion Selections are for those 4-H members who do not choose to sew or do not have the time in their schedule to sew a garment. A dollar amount is set and youth must gather/purchase clothing to complete an outfit. There are several categories to choose from.

All garments are showcased at the Fashion Revue. 4-H members write their scripts, attend a modeling clinic, then prepare to walk on stage to an audience of families, friends and supporters.
