There are three modules for Natural Resource and Land Use Planning and one module presenting land use changes in NH.

Conservation Subdivisions defines the purpose and benefits of conservation subdivisions, the role of the local planning process in implementing a conservation subdivision and design and regulatory considerations. Open Space Subdivisions will provide issues and solutions for open space subdivisions and layout of open space.  Open Space Subdivision Requirements presents the example of open space subdivision in Dover NH.

NH Citizen Planner Collaborative provides opportunities for lay (volunteer) citizen planners (land use boards) to access planning  training, materials, resources and a network of planning professionals throughout the state of New Hampshire.

The Collaborative members include NH Office of Energy and Planning, UNH Cooperative Extension, NH Housing Finance Authority, Nine Regional Planning Commissions, NH Division of Historic Resources, NH Department of Transportation, NH Department of Environmental Services, Local Government Center, Clean Air-Cool Planet, NH Preservation Alliance, NH Association of Conservation Commissions and municipal board members from Peterborough, Salem, Lebanon and Derry.

Our thanks to our volunteer subcommittee members who work to put these training materials together.  The Citizen Planner Collaborative website is hosted and staffed by the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension.
