The 18th Festival of Trees
(01:00 PM - 08:00 PM)

The Portsmouth Garden Club and the New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands-Urban Forestry Center join together every other year, on odd numbered years, to organize The Festival of Trees. This delightful display of holiday exhibits, both indoors and out, brings over 5,000 people from all over New England to New Hampshire's Urban Forestry Center in Portsmouth. Businesses, professionals, schools, artists, and individuals are invited to participate and there are approximately 100 exhibits displayed throughout the Urban Forestry grounds.

Senior Fit

Tuesdays & Thursdays: September 15 through December 3 (12 weeks) from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The Senior Fit Program is a strength training program for adults who want to increase flexibility and joint movement. Senior Fit includes stretches, balance, and flexibility exercises for older adults. All exercises are done while seated in a chair, or standing with the use of a chair or wall for support.

ServSafe Food Protection Certification Course and Examination
(09:00 AM - 05:00 PM)

This course follows the flow of food throughout an establishment. Participants will learn what conditions enhance the growth of bacteria that causes food borne illnesses along with the safest way to receive, store, prepare, cook and serve food for their customers. Practical information on training staff is included. At the end of the course, the National Restaurant Association ServSafe certification exam will be administered (approximately 3:30 p.m.). Some studying on your own time will be necessary.  The course will be taught by Nancy Bradford-Sisson, Certified ServSafe Instructor.  Registration form here.

Register by November 13 to allow time to receive and study the ServSafe Essentials course book.

Eating Right: Getting the Most Out Of Your Meals

Starting Over...New Choices, New Directions

This two-hour course is presented to New Hampshire bankruptcy filers in order to meet the necessary requirement for personal financial education, as specified by federal bankruptcy law. Upon completion of this course and submission of a course evaluation form, a certificate of completion will be provided to each participant.
