Money Matters: Fraud & Identity Theft - How to Protect Your Financial Information
(Wednesday 04/07/2010 - 06:00 PM - 07:30 PM)

Held in the Hilton Garden Room. Fraud and identity theft are costly to both victims and businesses. Often businesses are not paid for goods and services stolen. Consumers may spend an average of more than 2 years, over 175 hours, and more than $1,000.00 to clear up their credit rating, which does not include legal fees. Also, the emotional and psychological stress of the victims trying to correct their credit history is quite significant. Prevention is the key with fraud and identity theft. Come and learn what changes you need to implement to protect your privacy and personal financial information. Presenter Karyn M. Blass, M.Ed., Extension Educator, Family & Consumer Resources, UNH Cooperative Extension, Rockingham County.
