Starting Over ... New Choices, New Directions

This 2-hour course is presented to New Hampshire bankruptcy filers in order to meet the necessary requirement for personal financial education, as specified by federal bankruptcy law. Upon completion of this course and submission of a course evaluation form, a certificate of completion will be provided to each participant.

Parenting in Difficult Circumstances

Monuments, Lines of Possession, Analysis and Reporting

In many cases, a boundary line is claimed that does not coincide with the record line. There is confusion concerning where the actual ownership line belongs. This seminar will focus on the identity of monuments, surveyor's responsibility to the client, probable conflicts and situations, suggested analysis, and ways to communicate an opinion to reduce liability.

CEUs: Approved by the NH Joint Board of Licensure for 1.75 CEUs for Surveyors, 5.5 CEUs for Foresters. Submitted for approval by the Rhode Island State Board of Registration for Professional Land Surveyors.

GIS on Pennies a Day

Learn GIS basics and explore a variety of GIS programs you can get for little or no cost (for PC’s and Macs)! This course is useful for people who have no prior GIS experience and GIS users interested in low cost options. The GIS world has experienced an explosion of free and inexpensive programs that allow users to make maps, edit data and preform geographic analysis without breaking the bank. In this workshop, participants will have a chance to get their feet wet with numerous free and low cost GIS programs, learning the pros and cons of each. We will also cover GIS basics, common types of GIS data, and getting GIS data in NH.

GIS on Pennies a Day - Test Drive

Take a variety of full-functioned, free GIS programs for a test drive! After a brief intro to the software covered in this workshop, hands-on exercises will provide a framework to learn the basics of the programs, including how to create own maps, edit GIS data and do basic processing. Paritipants are encouraged to bring their own data to use after they understand the basics of the software.

Making Maps the Google Way

Towards Including all learners: Universal Design for Early Childhood

A four part series for childcare providers and parents. The first series is Introduction to Universal Design for ECE: Environments, which will be held on November 9, 2009. The second series is Universal Design for ECE & Curriculum Ideas, which will be held on December 14, 2009. The third series is Universal Design for ECE: Collaborating with Community Providers, which will be held on January 12, 2009. The fourth series is Universal Design for ECE: Engaging and Supporting Families, which will be held on February 9, 2010. Thom Linehan, Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Resources will be the Presenter. He has worked with families and children in a number of settings including home-based familiy therapy, early care & education and early intervention. Thom has experience and training as a marriage and family therapist and a family life educator.
