I am a new SARE AC member, but serve in my state (New Jersey) as ANR Program Leader and Assistant Director of Extension. I was offered the oportunity to review and respond to this discussion.

I support scenario 5 under Additional Resources, specifically to buy 10% of the state coordinators time. However, 10% of salary would not approach $15K for most state PDP coordinators, so the number here seems arbitrary. A contract with outlined duties and expectations would need to be developed. A follow up evaluation by SARE of what efforts were completed and what quality they were should be included.

On the question of Chapter 1 funds, I support the idea of expanding the audience but funds should increase to cover the increased costs of expanded advertising, participation, etc.
