Community Story: Washington, NH 2008 Natural Resource Inventory
In 2005 the Town of Washington Planning Board in consultation and cooperation with the Town of Washington Conservation Commission identified the need for a Natural and Cultural Resource Inventory and Conservation Plan for Washington. Concerns about growth and the informed use of natural and cultural resources, both from the boards and from the public in general underscored the need for such a document. Wildlife Action Plan information was incorporated into both the NRI and the Conservation Plan, and is being used by the town of Washington, NH in their ongoing land conservation and conservation planning work.
