Title: Middle Childhood: 9-11 Years
Summary: As children get closer to the teen years, they become more independent. It’s important that parents allow them to make some choices and take part in family decision making. Older children are able to choose their clothing. They can choose to become involved in certain sports, activities and hobbies. And they are able to help decide the chores they’ll be responsible for completing. By allowing children to make these decisions, parents support their children’s growing need for more freedom.
