CommunityViz: Level I
CommunityViz Scenario 360 is a software tool designed to help communities and regional planners quantify, visualize, and better understand the trade-offs of alternate land use futures at the community, watershed, or site scale. It is now being utilized by a number of regional planning agencies and communities in NH, and interest in its use is expected to increase as it is used in numerous community-level buildouts around the country.
CommunityViz: Level I materials (ArcGIS 9.3)
These workshop materials cover the basics of CommunityViz and are designed for ArcGIS users with little or no experience with the CommunityViz, although the materials should prove useful for those with more experience. The concepts and basic applications of CommunityViz are covered using a combination of presentations and hands-on exercises.
The workshop materials consist of the workshop manual (PDF), the presentations (PPT) and the data folders and files.
The manual contains the following sections:
1. Exploring CommunityViz Scenario 360
2. Build-Out Analysis
3. Suitability Analysis
4. Time Scope
5. Common Impacts
This link will direct the user to the GIS/GPS materials download site. A form must be filled out before the user will have access to the workshop materials. The information collected in this form will be used for internal reporting only.
