These workshop materials are designed for anyone interested in getting a basic introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and learning how to make maps of NH online. The materials focus on NH’s free online GIS mapper (the NH GRANIT Data Mapper).
Getting to Know NH GRANIT Data Mapper materials
No previous GIS or special software experience is needed, works on PC’s and Macs.
The workshop materials consist of the workshop manual (PDF) and the presentations (PPT).
The manual contains the following sections:
1. Identify Critical Open Space
2. Additional Tasks for Practice
3. Navigation Tools
4. Turning Off Pop-up Blockers
This link will direct the user to the GIS/GPS materials download site. A form must be filled out before the user will have access to the workshop materials. The information collected in this form will be used for internal reporting only.
