  • " Winter injury of turfgrasses " Utilization of dwarf and low maintenance turfgrasses " Introduced new management costs and minimized groundwater contamination by utilizing new low maintenance turfgrass varieties


Educational Background
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy from Washington State University in 1974. Master of Science Degree in Agronomy from Purdue University in 1975. Ph.D. in Agronomy from Purdue University in 1977.


Program Specialty Areas
  • Primary interests in turf involve investigating the integrated pest management options available which emphasize the non-chemical approaches of producing healthy turgrasses. Particular attention in the future will focus on the various forms of winter injury of turfgrasses including: o ice o crown hydration o direct low temperature injury
