Gail Kennedy
Extension Educator, Family & Consumer Resources


Biography

Gail joined Cooperative Extension in 1996 as an interim educator and in 1998 as a permanent educator in Family Development. In her current position as a Family & Consumer Resources Educator, Gail works with community members and groups to deliver money management, human development, parenting education and healthy lifestyles and wellness programs. She also coordinates food safety programs for food service workers and food handlers. Gail has a special interest in working collaboratively with community coalitions to support and strengthen families to improve the outcomes for children and youth. She collaborates with her 4-H Youth Development colleague to coordinate the Sullivan County Strengthening Families Project aimed at preventing teen substance abuse and other behavior problems, strengthening parenting skills and building strong families.
