Ann Hamilton
Extension Educator, Family & Consumer Resources

Ann Hamilton has been working for UNH Cooperative Extension in Carroll County since 1988. During that time she has helped Carroll County families and individuals improve their quality of living through research-based educational programs in the areas of food safety, parent education, and personal financial management. She is also actively involved in community coalitions.

• Extension Educator in Family Development with UNH Cooperative Extension since 1988

• County Office Co-Administrator

• 2 years working with developmentally disabled children and adults as well as providing support to families with a disabled family member

• Involved with various community coalitions and boards of directors; including Valley Outreach, Carroll County Juvenile Justice Project, Friends of Families, 4-H volunteer

• National Extension Association of Family & Consumer Sciences

• Personal Financial Management - providing education so that individuals and families may reduce debt; increase saving; increase confidence in making financial decisions; evaluate choices in relationship to present and future financial goals and savings; increase financial literacy; stretch resources.

• Food Safety - working with individuals and the food service industry to improve safe food handling practices and reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses.

• Parenting and Early Childhood Professionals - working with families and early childhood professionals to develop confidence, knowledge and skills to be more effective parents and care givers
