Nancy Bradford-Sisson
Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Resources


Biography

Nancy Bradford-Sisson joined UNH Cooperative Extension in 2000. Prior to this she was an Extension Educator with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension for 12 years in Aroostook County. She helps individuals, families and communities through research-based education and information enhancing their ability to make informed decisions. She works collaboratively with volunteers and other professionals working in schools, human service agencies, community groups and businesses


Educational Background
  • B.S., University of Kentucky, Management and Family Economics, 1978.

  • M.S., Oregon State University, Consumer Economics, 1981.

Program Specialty Areas
  • Personal Resource Management - providing education so that individuals and families may reduce debt; increase saving; increase confidence in making financial decisions; evaluate choices in relationship to present and future financial goals; increase financial literacy; stretch resources.

  • Food Safety - working with individuals and the food service industry to improve safe food handling practices and reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses.

  • Nutrition, Wellness, Physical Activity - working with individuals, families, and caregivers across the lifespan to make informed decisions regarding lifestyle choices

  • Strengthening Families - working with families and caregivers to develop confidence, knowledge and skills to be more effective parents and caregivers.
