I have been Agricultural Educator for Coös County since 1988. Prior to this I worked in agricultural/rural finance. Here, my goal is to help farmers throughout the county improve their overall profitability and competitiveness. To help achieve that we offer educational programs and provide technical assistance on many agricultural subjects, chief among them are forage crops, dairy, fruits, vegetables, integrated pest management and farm finance.

• 1974-1978 - U.S. Army Combat Engineer Officer, Germany & U.S.

• 1980 - Master of Agriculture, West Virginia University

• 1980-1988 - Farmers Home Administration, New Hampshire & Vermont

• National Association of County Agricultural Agents

• Nutmeg Alumni Association of Alpha Gamma Rho

• NH Farm Bureau

• The development of a Coös County Grown & Raised map of farm stands, pick-your-owns, farmers markets, and the like.

• NH Cooks Cooperative Specialty Food Processing Kitchens in Lancaster & Epping.

• Other than that, the plant sciences and farm financial management are subjects most frequently addressed by me on-farm or through group educational programs. In close touch with Extension Specialists at UNH, I serve as the county's direct link to their diverse knowledge and resources.

• Coös County Agriculture - is a quarterly newsletter available upon request, without charge to all county residents and landowners. Besides a schedule of events, it includes short ag-news items, research updates, and articles of local interest.

• Extension Perspectives - look for my monthly column appearing in The Northern Beacon and the Berlin Daily Sun.

• Farm Pages - I am a frequent contributor to this monthly feature published in the Coös County Democrat
