Claudia Boozer-Blasco
Extension Educator, Family & Consumer Resources & County Office Administrator


Claudia Boozer-Blasco provides educational programs in the areas of parenting, food safety, and nutrition and works collaboratively with schools, human service agencies, day care centers, community groups, and businesses. She provides support and training for those active in the Family, Home and Garden Education Center, Circle of Home and Family, and the Community Profile Project.  Parenting education programs span the life-cycle from infancy through adolescence and assist parents and others raising children to enhance healthy interpersonal relationships and provide appropriate nurturance and guidance. Food Safety programs are provided for consumers, food-service professionals, and volunteers in order to help reduce the incidence of food borne illnesses. Nutrition and healthy lifestyle programs are provided in order to reduce obesity and other lifestyle-related health problems.

Claudia also serves as County Office Administrator and oversees budget development and management, personnel, office operations, marketing and public relations. She serves as the liaison with county commissioners, departments, delegation, and the advisory council.

 



Biography

Claudia Boozer-Blasco has been working as an Extension Educator in Family and Consumer Resources with UNH Cooperative Extension in Rockingham County since 1983.  During the fall 2002 and 2003 she also served as Adjunct Faculty, teaching Family Programs and Policies in the UNH Department of Family Studies. Claudia’s prior work experience was as a community health educator for the Manchester Area Family Planning Center and as a home economics teacher for Guilford Middle-High School in Guilford, NH.  She also served as a health teacher at an Indian school in South Dakota.
