How Can We Help You

The UNH Cooperative Extension Forestry and Wildlife Program helps citizens and landowners learn about and care for New Hampshire's wildlife and habitats. How we can help: Landowner Visit

Landowner Visits: A staff wildlife specialist is available to assist landowners in identifying habitat and planning for habitat management on their lands. In addition, each county in New Hampshire has a County Extension Forester who can help integrate wildlife habitat and overall land stewardship. We can visit your property, free of charge, to discuss your wildlife, habitat, and land stewardship objectives. For technical assistance on your property, contact: Matt Tarr, Wildlife Program Specialist, (603) 862-3594, or email. To contact the County Forester in your County, click here for a statewide list.

Financial Assistance for Landowners: Landowners and communities interested in protecting or enhancing wildlife habitat may qualify for a variety of financial assistance programs from state and federal sources. To learn more, contact contact:
Emma Carcagno, Wildlife Program Assistant, (603) 862-2512, or email.

Wildlife Workshops: Click here to learn about upcoming public workshops on wildlife and habitat management.

Assistance to Professionals: A staff wildlife specialist is available to assist resource professionals (foresters, wetland scientists, wildlife consultants, etc.) in identifying habitat and planning for habitat management. For technical assistance, contact: Matt Tarr, Wildlife Program Specialist, (603) 862-3594, or email.
