Welcome from our Dean and Director
As the "flagship" outreach arm of the University of New Hampshire, we have a network of professional Extension educators located in all 10 New Hampshire counties. Our state and field specialists as well as program coordinators work with local volunteers and UNH faculty to provide high quality, relationship-based educational programs that meet societal, environmental and economic needs.
While many of our programs are conducted locally, we strive to "meet people where they are" and provide access through online and hybrid delivery methods. As part of the national land-grant university system, we also access the knowledge and expertise of other state land-grant universities throughout the U.S.
Cooperative Extension derives its name from the partnership structure which combines federal, state and county funding. This "cooperative" effort ensures all people have local access to their state university and the knowledge and resources available to address needs and problems. The principal partner is the University of New Hampshire. As a state land-grant university it is charged by Congress to conduct resident instruction, research, and outreach to people beyond the classroom.
Please use this website to become more familiar with UNH Cooperative Extension. I encourage you to contact any member of the staff if you have questions or needs we can address.
