Nutrition Connections staff collaborate with many federal, state, and local agencies that serve low-income families with children and youth, including Food Stamp offices, WIC sites, Head Start, and other community programs.
We work with adults with children and seniors in their homes, by mail, or in a group setting. Through a series of lessons, adults gain knowledge and skills to help them make good choices for their families in the areas of:
- Save money at the grocery store
- Plan and cook quick, tasty, and low-cost meals
- Eat Healthier
- Prevent foodborne illness
- Understand food labels
- Make physical activity a part of everyday
