Speaking for Wildlife Trainings
Do you want to help others learn about wildlife and natural resources? This training will provide you with the basics of planning and delivering a wildlife talk. No public speaking experience is necessary! Speaking for Wildlife volunteers have access to presentations, equipment (laptops, projectors, etc.), handouts, books and other materials to support your talk. You’ll get support from County Extension staff, tips on public speaking, training on how to use presentation equipment, and other practical advice. Current presentations include:
- A Garden for Wildlife
- New Hampshire’s Wild History
- NH Bugs: The Big Three
- Birds, Bats & Butterflies
- Natural Communities of NH
- Bats and White Nose Syndrome
- Coming soon! A new presentation on New Hampshire reptiles and amphibians - to be debuted at the June trainings
Participants in this free training should be willing to commit to giving at least one presentation in the next year. It’s fun, and we promise you’ll feel prepared after this workshop!
There are two trainings scheduled for June 2017. Volunteers only need to attend one training session.
