David White is an outstanding volunteer who likes to stay busy and help others. Before retiring, he volunteered at the United Way Greater Seacoast for 16 years. Upon retirement, he applied to the Master Gardener Program, and then started volunteering at the Education Center Info Line. He currently also volunteers for another great non-profit, the “Court Appointed Special Advocates” for children (CASA).
David is well-spoken, easy to work with, and committed to helping others. His experience as an instructor and assistant professor gives him the necessary skills to efficiently interact with callers at the Info Line, make them feel at ease, and provide them with clear and thorough answers. David brings a very levelheaded approach to each of the answers that he develops for the clients he serves at the Education Center. We have full confidence that each of his answers will be thoroughly researched and take into consideration the resources available to the client along with a common sense approach to the feasibility of the recommendations provided. David is also a great writer. He wrote several articles for the Education Center, including “For a Sustainable, Easy Landscape, Go Native”.
“He is smart, funny, reliable, and devoted. Nothing is more rewarding in my position than to see David return time after time, knowing that he continues to learn and find enjoyment in providing reliable solutions to our clientele. I cannot thank him enough for choosing to volunteer his time and expertise with us.” (Jeremy DeLisle, Education Center Coordinator).
In the last year, David volunteered close to 150hrs for UNH Cooperative Extension! That is impressive and words cannot say how much we appreciate his hard work. We are proud to have David as one of our volunteers.
