Healthy meals and freshly baked bread for those in need
In Sullivan County, the Bunny Bunch 4-H Club is working with local food pantries to make meals and freshly baked bread with those in need. Recently, the club teamed up with King Arthur Flour's Bake for Good program. As a part of the program, the baked goods company donated flour and recipes.
“This is the type of community action we hope to see youth engaged in when it comes to our 4-H healthy living work,” shares Heidi Barker, UNH Cooperative Extension field specialist. “Using a skill like baking or cooking to help people in their community who are hungry is the type of character building experience that grows true leaders through 4-H.”
