Barry Camp Water Emergency

We will post updates here.  Keep checking here for the latest.

  • Wednesday, July 18, 9:19pm.  The porta-potties have been delivered.    Campers are safe and happy.  We will assess and provide an update tomorrow morning.  there is ample potable water for breakfast tomorrow.
  • Thursday, July 19, 9:50am.The news is good.  We have partially restored water to Barry Camp and are confident that we can complete the week as planned without any health or safety issues.  All campers and staff will be off campus today as planned on hiking and canoeing excursions.  This will be helpful as hatchery staff continue to work on the water system. We are conserving where we can which means porta-potties and no showers at least until campers return to BCC before supper tonight.
  •  Plan to pick up your camper tomorrow (Friday) as planned.  You don’t want to miss the slide show which will start promptly at 3:00.
  • We apologize for any alarm that this situation may have caused.  There is nothing more important to us than the safety of our campers.   We felt that it was important to keep parents informed.  Thanks again for your understanding.
