New Education Assistant at Pesticide Safety Program

Abbie Perry joins the team in Food and Agriculture to help improve pesticide safety

Abbie Perry recently joined Extension as an education assistant for the Pesticide Safety Program. Her duties include processing course registrations, uploading course announcements to the website and filling orders for the pesticide safety teaching manuals used in the program.

Abbie previously served as a coordinator for the FIRST Robotics Competition and as the executive director of the Augusta Food Bank in Maine. She is a home gardener and enjoys home food preservation. Originally from Vermont, Abbie earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from The College of Wooster in Ohio.

Pesticide Safety Education Program Coordinator Rachel Maccini said, “Abbie is no stranger to hard work and determination. We are excited to welcome her to the team as she assists with pesticide safety needs.”
