4-H Fashion Mash-Up

Video Showcase of 4-H Youth Sewing Talent
Sewing Pajama Pants

4-H’ers, have you been busy sewing clothing or textiles (pillows, hats, aprons, dog coats, etc.)?  We would LOVE to see what you have done!

Would you be interested in submitting a Fashion Revue-style video to share your creation with others?  If so, register for our 4-H Fashion Mash-Up

We’re inviting 4-H youth from across the state to submit a brief video clip entry of their sewing project. This is not a judged event, but rather a showcase of 4-H youth sewing talent.  In July, we’ll get started combining the entries into a 4-H Fashion Mash-Up video to share on Facebook and possible other on-line venues.

  • Registrations will be accepted via 4hOnline through June 30.
  • Once registered, youth will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to upload their 15 to 30 second video to a private folder in BOX.
  • In order to access your BOX folder, you will need to log in with your existing Google account or create a BOX or Google account.  (Individuals wishing to discuss other alternatives may contact Donna.Lee@unh.edu or 603-787-6944.)
  • One video entry per person, please.
  • Videos need to be submitted prior to July 8.

  • If your sewn items are still at the county 4-H office, contact your 4-H Program Manager to make arrangements to retrieve them.
  • Model your sewn item as if you were on stage at State 4-H Activities Day.  Walk a short distance, turn, walk a little further.  Be sure to smile and enjoy the process.
  • Record your video in LANDSCAPE mode.  (If you are using a phone, hold it sideways not vertically).
  • Be sure to consider the background of your video when modeling (ex. outside near a flower bed).
  • Dress and act appropriately as you would for any 4-H event.
  • Create your video without sound (we will add sound to our final production).
