UNH Cooperative Extension Military Youth and Family Program (MYFP) welcomed military connected families to explore cooking and nature on Saturday, March 24th at the Massabesic Audubon Center in Auburn, NH.
Military families had the opportunity to learn-by-doing while taking part in a Grilled Cheese Cook-Off! Families learned about food safety and developed their griddle cooking skills. They got creative with their sandwiches - selecting from a variety of cheeses and breads, as well as ham, turkey, onions, avocado, sliced apples, spinach, and arugula. Yummy!!!
After feasting on their grilled cheese creations, families had the opportunity to explore the beautiful trails of the Audubon Center with UNH Cooperative Extension wildlife volunteers. What a great day!
