This will be a two-day online workshop with one in-person, outdoor Site Assessment session on Day 1 in Derry, NH. During the registration process, you will be able to select a specific time on November 3 (1:50 pm – 2:50 pm or 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm) to participate in the in-person outdoor session.
In-person Site Assessment participants will need to abide by UNH's standard COVID-19 guidelines put forth by the Office of Outreach and Engagement and complete a short health screening on the day of the session (View health screening questions). These guidelines are subject to change based on the status of the pandemic and recommendations and guidelines from the University of New Hampshire.
The $50 registration fee covers all virtual and in-person sessions and presentations, access to digital materials, and the opportunity to receive recertification credit for the New Hampshire Certified Landscape Professionals Program through New Hampshire Landscape Association (NHLA).
Pesticide credits will be available, pending state approval.
About the Event
Participants will learn how to use ecological concepts and landscape features such as rain gardens, vegetative buffers, and other green infrastructure to protect lakes, rivers, streams and bays. Instructors are from universities, university centers, university extension, environmental agencies, municipalities, and private enterprise.

This program is designed for landscapers and others who develop, maintain, or preserve properties in and around central and southern NH, including:
- Landscape designers, contractors and maintenance professionals, and those who hire them
- Members of watershed groups, conservation commissions, and organizations and agencies who want to learn about ecological approaches to landscaping
- Municipal staff and contractors involved in landscaping, land care and development
- Students in environment or landscape focused programs
