Join us for fun-filled 4-H STEM evening building and running chain reaction machines!

Design and build a unique invention that completes a chain reaction of events. Small groups will be tasked with designing and constructing a machine that transfers energy from one object to another, step by step, until the objective is completed. We will tinker with the laws of physics to master several different objectives. This event will harness creativity, design, and mechanical awareness.

Pizza dinner provided!

Registration is required! Register for this event via 4-H Online by Friday, December 31, 2021.

This event is part of a series of Rockingham County 4-H Winter STEM events. 4‑H STEM programs provide 4‑H youth the opportunity to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Whether that’s exploring circuits, coding a new app, or designing an underwater drone, 4-H STEM helps youth foster their curiosity and sparks innovation. This series of winter 4-H STEM events will be a great creative, constructive, and social outlet for the youth in your family. Each event will be held at the Brentwood Extension office from 5-7pm and serve pizza.

These STEM activities are relevant and can be deliverable for any age group. However, these 4-H events will be designed to target the 8 and older age range. Children as young as 5 are welcome; however, we ask that you work directly with your “Cloverbuds” for the entirety of the event. Thank you!
