Exploring the natural and designed worlds with a child can be among the most rewarding experiences we can do. As working adults we have life experiences and careers that put us in a position to help teach and mentor youth in STEM.  But, how does one get started?  The STEM Docent Foundations Workshop is designed to help volunteers build their skill set in creating a positive learning environment that promotes youth’s active engagement in STEM activities. It teaches some fundamental skills and tricks to help you share your passion for science to youth.  STEM Docents are volunteers with a specialty in STEM education who seek to enhance knowledge and engagement in STEM by New Hampshire youth. Are you ready to join? This training is open to new and existing STEM Docent Volunteers. Contact megan.glenn@unh.edu for information on how to apply.
