Join Rockingham County 4-H Program Manager Mike Harris for a hike on Blue Job Mountain!

Cross another Winter Hiking Challenge hike off your list with this guided hike with Mike! Mike is a certified Appalachian Mountain Club trip leader and a former Wilderness First Responder. He has ten years of experience leading hikes with youth in the White Mountains and surrounding areas.

Mike has hiked all over New England and considers Blue Job Mountain one of New Hampshire’s “hidden gems.” The 3-mile loop circles through the towns of Strafford, New Durham, and Farmington, has a total 700 ft elevation gain, and is very steep in some sections. It is action-packed with features and views. On a clear day you can see Mount Washington and the Atlantic Ocean. There is a lot to take in, so plan for about two hours for this hike.

This hike is open to youth 5+; however, there are some steep sections with challenging terrain, so we ask that you take into account your family’s limits.

How to get there: The trailhead and parking lot is located on First Crown Point road in Strafford, NH. Get directions from the Rockingham Extension Office in Brentwood here.

Registration is required! Sign up for this event via 4-H Online by Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
