Fort Building

Do you love being outdoors and going into the woods and building forts? Here is your chance to bring your friends from your 4-H Club or even friends from your school or neighborhood and put your engineering skills to the test by working together to build forts and shelters. Family members will be asked to help with guiding but not taking over the project. Kids learn to communicate, work together through teamwork, and will learn to solve problems and will even learn a little about engineering. What kid doesn’t like building forts? If you love building forts and want to come out and test your ingenuity, then register today for the first ever 4-H “Fort Building Challenge!” Since this is a conservation property, it will be required that we dismantle all structures and return the materials to the forest to adhere to the conservation easement. The 4-H Fort Building Challenge will take place Saturday October 15th from 10am-12pm. For non-4-H members please contact Hillsborough County 4-H Program Manager Eric McCambly at Eric.McCambly@unh.edu to register.
