2021 Rockingham & Strafford County 4-H Presents
Times subject to chance based on RSVPs. Award Zoom to be held at 6:00pm. Rain date: Sunday, May 23.
Share your interests and build your communication skills! County 4-H Presents (formerly known as County Activities Day) is an annual county event that provides youth the opportunity to build skills and confidence in the realm of public speaking. Youth participate in one or more of a variety of categories aimed at conveying emotion, information, and skills through public speaking, visual aid, and even performance. Each event is judged by a helpful and knowledgeable set of evaluators that provide both in-person and written feedback to participants.
4-H Presents is an opportunity for 4-H youth to demonstrate their presentation skills and subject matter knowledge. Every 4-H member is encouraged to give a presentation each year. A 4-H presentation can be a demonstration, action exhibit, public speech, include audio-visual aids, and involve problem solving. Through their presentations, youth learn to research a subject, organize their ideas into a logical order and practice public speaking skills.
Participation in this communications event can take many forms:
- Demonstrations / Illustrated Talks
- Action Exhibits
- Public Speeches
- FLIX Videos
- Cloverbud Show & Tell
Awardees from each County 4-H Presents are eligible to compete at the state level 4-H Presents!, to be held Saturday, June 26 at Candia Springs Adventure Park.
An awards ceremony will be held via Zoom following the event at 6:00pm. Zoom information will be sent to all participants.
Virtual presentation options available. Email Rockingham.4H@unh.edu for more info.
