4-H Babysitting Course
Do you want to become a better babysitter? If so, and you are between the ages of 11-13, then sign up for the 4-H Babysitting Course. We welcome any youth who wants to learn regardless of their previous involvement in 4-H. The four sessions will be held in the upstairs classrooms at the Deerfield Community Church on these dates:
- Monday, November 11, 3:30-5:30pm
- Monday, November 18, 3:30-5:30pm
- Monday, November 25, 3:30-5:30pm
- Saturday, November 30, 9:30-11:30am
You will learn more about the qualities of a great babysitter, roles and responsibilities and business basics, preparing for potential emergencies, growth and development, and leading play activities. The final session will give you a "Hands on-Heads on" opportunity to interact with parents and their infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Between sessions you will have some assignments to learn more with child observations and organizing a babysitter’s bag, too. Parents are responsible for providing or arranging transportation to these four sessions.
