4-H Mindfulness Curricula Training
Join us for a training on two 4-H mindfulness curricula available for your club, afterschool program, or in-school programming!
Mindful Me (ages 5-8) and Mindful Mechanics (ages 13+) are research-based, peer-reviewed curricula developed by 4-H staff in California and New Hampshire. The 4-H Mindfulness program aims to promote healthy youth, families and communities through fostering mindfulness that lead to improvements in managing one’s own goals, developing a sense of self, time management, stress management, emotional regulation, and mindful eating practices. Specific outcomes from participation in the curriculum include short-term (skill development), mid-term (increased stress management, mindful eating, etc.), and long-term (improved physical, emotional, and social health) benefits.
During this training, volunteer will:
• Be prepared to deliver and train others to deliver both curricula
• Have an understanding of resources used to evaluate both curricula
• Learn about other opportunities to deliver mindfulness programming
• Market Mindful Me and Mindful Mechanics
The training will be held on January 28th from 6:30pm-8pm (including a break) and will also give you the opportunity to try out a lesson from each curricula!
